Daniel joined didlaw as a consultant in 2018. He originally qualified as a solicitor with Linklaters in 1996. Daniel was a finance lawyer by training and during his early career was fortunate to live and work in various locations around the world including London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney and the Caribbean. He returned to the UK in 2005.
As a senior manager in various professional service firms, Daniel has a developed knowledge of the practical and legal issues surrounding employees and their working environments. Following a sabbatical in 2017, Daniel decided to refocus his career in the employment space to leverage his knowledge of corporate life and the increasing demands and pressures this has placed on those who work in such environments. Given his specialist background, Daniel often works with others from didlaw in order to compliment the firm’s offering when working with senior executives and corporate clients. He has a particular interest in cases involving mental health issues and work-place stress.
Away from the office, Daniel is a busy husband and father ferrying his young children to a multitude of important activities. Before kids, Daniel was a keen rugby player, skier and sailor. Nowadays dog walking appears to feature more heavily. He continues to enjoy travelling and recently took his kids to visit The Taj Mahal and to spot a tiger in Ranthambore national park. All returned home safely.
